Some beers are naturally cloudy, while others should be clear. The appearance depends on the style.
Beers that are often cloudy:
- Hefeweizens
- Belgian witbiers
- Some unfiltered or craft styles
These beers are brewed to have a hazy appearance, so cloudiness is completely normal.
Beers that are usually clear:
- Lagers
- Pilsners
- Most filtered pale beers
If one of these styles appears cloudy, it may not be serving as expected.
Before assuming there is an issue, check:
- That the keg has been stored upright
- That it has reached the correct serving temperature
- That your glass is clean
If the beer still does not look right and you are unsure whether this is normal for that style, please contact our Customer Service team. Have the batch number and date of purchase ready so we can assist you quickly.
