Alcohol-free and low alcohol beers contain less alcohol than regular beer, but they are not the same.
Alcohol-free beer (UK definition)
- Must contain less than 0.05% ABV (Alcohol by Volume).
- This level is legally defined as alcohol-free in the UK.
Low alcohol beer
- Contains 1.2% ABV or below.
- Has a reduced alcohol content compared to regular beer.
- The exact ABV will always be clearly stated on the label.
