If your beer seems flat, the most common cause is temperature.
- Check that your keg has reached the correct serving temperature:
- On standard PerfectDraft machines, this is 3°C.
-
On PerfectDraft Pro, the temperature may vary depending on the beer style. You can check the recommended setting in the PerfectDraft app or consult this FAQ article.
If the beer has not fully cooled yet, it can taste less lively. Once it reaches the right temperature, the head and carbonation should improve.
- If the temperature is correct, take a moment to review your pouring technique:
- Use a clean, suitable glass.
- Tilt the glass to 45 degrees.
- Pull the handle down fully in one smooth motion to create a steady flow.
Tip: PerfectDraft pours can feel smoother and less “gassy” than in some pubs, but that does not mean the beer is flat.
