If your beer tastes flat, the most common cause is temperature, but pour technique, keg condition, and pressure problems can also play a part.
Start with temperature:
on standard PerfectDraft machines, the normal serving temperature is 3°C
on PerfectDraft Pro, the ideal temperature depends on the beer style
- if the beer has not fully cooled yet, it can taste less lively
Then check your pouring technique:
use a clean, suitable glass
tilt the glass to 45 degrees
- pull the handle down fully in one smooth motion

Then check for keg or pressure issues:
· make sure the keg and tap unit are securely fitted
· check the tube for kinks, looseness, or blockages
· if the beer still does not seem right, try another keg if possible
· if the same issue happens again, it may be worth checking your machine setup
Note: PerfectDraft pours can feel smoother and less “gassy” than in some pubs, but that does not mean the beer is flat.
