What is Rapid Cooling?

Rapid Cooling is a new mode for PerfectDraft Pro machines that chills your beer up to 30% faster than the standard cooling mode. It’s perfect for those times when you want to enjoy a fresh beer sooner.

Where Rapid Cooling is available?

• Available on: PerfectDraft Pro machines only
• Not available on: Other PerfectDraft models

What do I need to use Rapid Cooling?

To use Rapid Cooling, make sure you have:

• A PerfectDraft Pro machine with the firmware version ≥ 3.16.0-5
• Your PerfectDraft app version  ≥ 3.4.3
• Your PerfectDraft Pro machine is paired with and currently connected to your PerfectDraft app

How to check your versions:

• Firmware: In the PerfectDraft app, go to Account > My Machine
• App version: In the PerfectDraft app, go to Account > About

How do I turn Rapid Cooling on and off?

To Turn on:

1. Open the PerfectDraft app
2. Select Rapid Cooling from the cooling mode menu, or tap the “Activate Rapid Cooling” button directly within the target temperature widget after adjusting the target temperature.

Note: Rapid Cooling can only be activated through the app - not directly on the machine - so make sure your PerfectDraft Pro is paired with the PerfectDraft app.

To Turn off:

• Manually:
  • Switch to another mode in the PerfectDraft app
  • Or long-press the + or – button on the machine for 3 seconds
• Automatically:
  • When the machine reaches your target temperature
  • When the beer temperature reaches 4°C

What should I expect when using Rapid Cooling?

• Faster cooling: Up to 30% quicker than standard mode
• Increased fan noise: The fan will run louder - this is normal and shows it's working harder to cool your beer faster
• Stops at 4°C: Rapid Cooling will stop at 4°C, If you set a lower temperature, standard cooling will take over
• Slightly higher energy use: Around the same as a low-power light bulb (+17W compared to standard cooling mode)

Under what conditions is Rapid Cooling unavailable?

You won’t be able to activate Rapid Cooling if:

• The machine has already reached the target temperature
• The target temperature is higher than the current beer temperature
• No keg is selected in the app
• An alcohol-free keg is selected (e.g., Corona Cero, Stella 0.0%)
• The machine is still calculating the beer temperature (indicated by the “snake” animation on the screen of your PerfectDraft Pro machine)
• The beer temperature is already at or below 4°C

The app will display a message explaining why Rapid Cooling isn’t available in these cases.

Troubleshooting & tips

• Temperature jumps: You might notice a small jump in the temperature display when Rapid Cooling begins. That’s perfectly normal - your machine is simply adjusting itself to kick off faster cooling and get your beer chilled sooner.
• Display temperature seems stuck: If it looks like the temperature isn’t changing, no need to worry - your beer is still cooling behind the scenes. Sometimes the display takes a moment to catch up.
• Machine setup & cleaning:
  • Make sure there’s at least 10 cm of space around all sides of your machine for proper airflow. Without enough ventilation, warm air can get trapped and slow down the cooling.
  • Take a moment to check the back of your machine for dust buildup. If you see any, gently clean the rear vents using a vacuum cleaner to keep it running smoothly.
• Machine disconnects: If your machine disconnects from the app while Rapid Cooling is active, the mode will remain on. To exit, simply long-press the + or – button on the machine for 3 seconds.

Will Rapid Cooling damage my machine?

No - Rapid Cooling is safe and will not shorten the lifespan of your machine.

How Do I get the latest firmware updates?

Your PerfectDraft Pro will automatically update its firmware when connected to the internet. Just ensure your app is also up-to-date for the best experience.
