Some noise during operation is completely normal. PerfectDraft machines contain cooling and pressure systems, which produce sound as they work. Here’s what you might hear:
- Soft, continuous humming: This is usually the cooling system (fan or compressor) maintaining the correct temperature. This is normal.
- Noise when pouring beer: This is the machine maintaining pressure while you pour. This is also normal.
- Occasional noise when not pouring: The machine may briefly activate to maintain pressure. This can sound similar to a short grinding or pumping noise. If this happens frequently or sounds strained, check that the keg and tube are properly fitted.
- Hissing sound: This can indicate that the tap unit is not fully attached. Press it down firmly until you hear two clicks. If the hissing continues after it is securely fitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
- High-pitched whine: In some cases, this can be related to the power supply. If the sound is persistent or concerning, please contact our Customer Service team.
