If you are seeing E1 on the display, this usually means: there is a serious air leak and the pump runs too long.
What to try now:
1. Recheck the tap unit, beer line, and keg connections.
2. Check for a poor keg connection.
3. Check for a damaged keg seal or a faulty tap unit.
4. If possible, try another keg to rule out a keg fault.
